Counseling

Bear Creek offers a comprehensive counseling program that provides a large number of services for students. 

The following is a brief listing of some of those services offered:

  • Testing: SBAC, PSAT, SAT, ACT, and AP
  • Referral for Special Education

The counseling staff works closely with the staff, faculty, administrators, families, and community to provide a supportive, effective and safe environment in which all students can succeed.  Students and families are encouraged to contact the Counseling Office.

Counselors

School counselors are listed below. A student's assigned counselor is determined by the student's last name. 

Counselors are here to:
  • Assist with designing a course of study, and making appropriate scheduling changes within the defined time limit
  • Help you make a plan to meet high school graduation and college entrance requirements
  • Help you to gain the skills you need to succeed in high school and beyond
  • Help whenever you are having academic or personal difficulties
  • Help you envision and reach your post-secondary college/career goals

Transcripts

Transcript requests are made through Schoolinks. To start a request, log in to your Schoolinks account. Former students must create a Schoolinks account to request transcripts.

Transcripts take a minimum of 5 days to process. For official transcripts after graduation, there is a fee of $5. Please keep in mind, we do not have nor make copies of your high school diploma. 

Disenrollment

Disenrolling a student can only be done by a parent or designated legal guardian in person at the Bear Creek High School Counseling Office.

What to expect when disenrolling a student:

  • Office Hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday.
  • The Registrar requires that you have your photo ID at the ready so they can verify your identity and that you have the authority to disenroll the student.
  • The student must return all checked out books and Chromebooks in order to receive an official copy of their transcript. Failure to clear fines or check in items will result in a denial for any official transcript request.
